Cox Communications started the Movies in the Park program with a projector and a repurposed bed sheet. Now a decade later, Movies in the Park has grown to be a community favorite across Pima and Cochise Counties. Cox invites area residents to bring a blanket or lawn chair and join us for a free movie along with popcorn, soda, food vendors, live music, jumping castles, balloon twisters, and arts and crafts exhibits from area non-profits.
From blues to classical and summer Shakespeare in the Park to dance performances, the Pavilion is a focal point for the community and an expression of the diversity of Tucson. Fully equipped with an acoustically tuned amplification system and integral lighting, and can comfortably accommodate audiences up to 7,000.
