May 10 - Sylvan Street

Experience the innovative and electrifying music of Sylvan Street. Their progressive jazz sound brings the energy and excitement of an arena rock concert to the intimacy of a jazz venue. With a diverse and aggressive fusion of original jazz, rock, Latin and funk styles, the group’s hip, urban sound speaks to listeners of all ages. Let their songs take you on an emotional ride through tribal funk grooves, bittersweet love ballads, jump swing and blues. Sylvan Street’s compact discs, “The Perfect Leaf” and “Here In America” are available now on Summit Records and iTunes. Band members also offer educational jazz clinics for high school and collegiate jazz programs.

May 24 - Rob Resetar Trio
Rob Resetar’s extensive piano performances include Motown group, the Marvelettes, Belmonts, Diamonds, Jimmy Dorsey Orchestra and many more. Most recently he has played with Capital recording artists, the DUSTY CHAPS.

June 7 - DeGrazia Band

Domingo DeGrazia blends Spanish guitar passion with the flair of flamenco music. His music couples dynamic rhythms with vibrant Latin, salsa and rock drum beats. An Arizona native, raised with the sounds and imagery of the desert southwest, DeGrazia’s guitar playing has charmed audiences with songs that are as rhythmic as they are percussive, moving from passionate to whimsical and elegant to sorrowful. DeGrazia carries the role of front-man and lead guitar while Grammy nominated artist Jim Pavett brings percussion and live drums. Violinist Beth Daunis brings exotic and soulful violin while Mark Brugler and Aaron Kirk round out the core of the band with bass and rhythm guitar.

June 21 - Real Tears

Real Tears is a recently formed Tucson band emerging on the local jazz scene. The band is comprised of artist in residence and longtime Tucson based musicians, Jose-Luiz Sandoval on sax, John Monfore on keyboards, Tom Galarneau on bass, Ed Durazo on drums and Kelly Bryan on vocals. Over the past two decades, they have all performed together as band members in various ensembles as well as leaders of their own bands on the club and concert circuit throughout greater Tucson, Phoenix and Chicago.

July 5 - Butch Diggs & Friends

Smooth jazz saxophonist, flutist and keyboardist Butch Diggs has worked with Eddie Henderson, Paul Jackson, Jr. Chaka Khan, Joe Henderson, Brian Bromberg, Avant garde drummer Atma Anur and progressive guitarist Craig Easley. He was an original member of the pop/alternative group Question Men in the 1980's, and his current album "Chapter 1" was co-produced by Steve Diggs. On his first solo release, Diggs provided all instruments – saxes, flutes, keyboards, drums, Indian flutes – and effects as well as the writing and arranging of all songs. With his latest release "Dry Heat", he enlisted the help of BDizzy (his son, Brandon) on synthesizer, vocal effects and co-writing.

July 19 - Heather O'Day

Heather O'Day hails from Tucson. She has brought her jazz quintet to venues throughout Southern Arizona since 2008. With decades of experience onstage, the ensemble members all have impressive careers in their own right. The group takes its cue from classic jazz stars like Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday, The Rat Pack, Dave Brubeck, Vince Guaraldi, Thelonious Monk and more. They feature a set list of the most beloved standards for vocals, piano, drums and bass, with a few unique surprises. Heather's four-octave vocal range adds flair and flavor to the warm sound that is sure to make Heather O'Day and Friends a fixture.

August 2 - Annon & The Late Show

Annon and The Late Show is the creation of Roderick Annon Warfield. The band was based out of the Indianapolis, Indiana area, but has made Tucson its new home. They play smooth R&B and blues in a soulful jazz rhythmic style resembling Carlos Santana with classic and original music written by Annon. The band is made up of four core members with part-time members added when needed.

August 16 - Hot Club of Tucson

The Hot Club of Tucson includes Matt Mitchell on guitar, Evan Dain on upright bass and Nick Coventry on violin. They play what is referred to as gypsy jazz. Coventry started playing violin at an early age and, after hearing a Stephane Grappelli tape at the age of 12, he began in earnest to learn the swinging style of gypsy jazz violin. At age 18, he studied classically at the University of California Santa Barbara, and at 20, he started his first gypsy swing band “Les Gendarmes du Swing” and began writing and performing around his hometown of Goleta, California. In 2005, he travelled to the famous Djangofest at Samois-sur-Seine, France to meet and play with the best European musicians of gypsy jazz. This resulted in a series of tours around Spain, England, Scotland and Denmark with the Hot Club of Galicia. At home, Coventry has performed at the Djangofest in San Francisco with Gonzalo Bergara, as a guest with the John Jorgenson Quintet, Stephane Wrembel trio in New York and with Alfonso Ponticelli and Swing Gitan at Chicago’s Green Mill.
