THE ARTS & CRAFTS STUDIO at CATALYST
Painters, potters, jewelers, weavers, glass artists, and general DIYers can teach classes in any medium, mixed-media, and interdisciplinary arts and crafts. The room is equipped with tables, chairs, easels, paper for covering tables, basic supplies and materials. Maximum capacity: 15-30, depending on activity.
The CATALYST Arts & Crafts Studio was conceived as a place where we can begin to build more opportunities for learning, while creating new opportunities for artists to generate income through teaching. These spaces can be used by artists, makers, creatives, professionals, and community members to both teach workshops, and take workshops. Each year SAACA provides more than 200,000 unique arts and cultural engagement opportunities for the community; we would like to invite teaching artists and makers to lead workshops, programs and activities at Catalyst. |
TAKE A CLASS
We invite the community to attend weekly classes in the Arts & Crafts Studio. Classes will range from free classes and open learning sessions, to more structured and advanced classes ranging from $5-$100/class in over 30 mediums. The CATALYST Arts & Crafts Studio is a prime learning space for a range of mediums.
TEACH A CLASS
Local artisans, writers, makers and fine artists can utilize the space to teach classes. Hourly rental rates start at $35/hour for rentals. SAACA also offers artists the opportunity to promote classes through our community outreach assets at Tucson Mall, through our website, and membership and email subscribers.

QUESTIONS ABOUT THE ARTS & CRAFTS STUDIO?
As a true community space for the arts, we are currently seeking local partners to support these efforts, through collaborative partnerships, as well as sponsorships for the space. Contact SAACA Director of Programs, Matt Rolland at matt@saaca.org to learn about the wide range of partnerships available. We are currently seeking in-kind donations of machinery, tools, supplies and programming content. We are also seeking mentors, organizations, education partners, and teachers to collaborate in the space as part of our intergenerational programs.
