COVID-19 SAFETY AT SAACA EVENTS AND THE CATALYST ARTS & MAKER SPACE
EVENT SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
COVID-19 Mitigation Policy (As of July 2022)
At the Southern Arizona Arts and Cultural Alliance, we continue to remain dedicated to fostering a safe attendee experience and workplace in our programming and events located at the CATALYST Arts and Maker Space, as well as hosted large scale public gatherings. Our COVID-19 protocols follow event safety industry guidance and guidelines developed by the State of Arizona, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Arizona Department of Health (AZDHS), state and federal occupational safety and health statutes, rules and standards, and Pima County Health guidance. The procedures and protocols in place are reviewed and updated frequently, as local conditions and public health guidelines evolve, and are subject to change.
Recommends that all attendees ages 5 and up be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 before attending any large-scale events.
SAACA events and festivals are operating at capacity yet recognize that this can change due to current health guidelines and community transmission levels.
We acknowledge that indoor events where food and beverage are consumed and social distancing is not possible will provide a higher risk of COVID exposure. We ask that attendees and participants make individual attendance decisions based on your personal health and safety decisions.
Asks that anyone experiencing symptoms stays home.
Additional operational changes related to increased health and safety measures include:
Increased air filtration in indoor spaces
Regularly placed hand sanitizer stations accessible to employees, artists, and attendees
More distanced spacing between vendors at festivals
Regular sanitizing of high-touch surfaces
Print-at-home and phone scanned ticketing
*All policies are subject to updates and revisions as conditions warrant and public health guidance may change.
