The Interplanetary Adventures of Peppy the Poodle’s Traveling Circus
Our “out of this world” story takes listeners on a trip with a traveling circus, led by Peppy the Poodle. This isn’t just an ordinary circus, however, as the varied animal acts travel through space to reach their performance destinations. Young listeners will be encouraged to help “perform” the various circus tricks. This concert will feature music from Holst’s The Planets, Khachaturian’s Sabre Dance, Rimsky-Korsakoff’s Flight of the Bumblebee and many more classical favorites, with musical arrangements by Jessica Campbell and script by Deena Reedy.

Around the World on a Musical Carpet
Get ready for the most fantastic whirlwind of a journey you’ll ever take! Enjoy musical selections from around the world, presented by a string trio. Audience members will travel to different parts of the world while learning about the music, moving to the beat and singing along to works from around Europe, Central and South America and beyond.

Nutcracker Story
Come hear the story of the Nutcracker with a delightfully interactive twist! The instrumental trio will perform dance favorites from this ballet, while telling the enchanting holiday tale. Think you’ll miss the dancing? Not a chance! Concert goers will be guided and transformed into toy soldiers, candy canes, snowflakes, Russian soldiers and more, becoming the dancers in this classic holiday tradition. If you just love the music or you’ve always wanted to dance in the Nutcracker, come and join us!

Carnival of the Animals
Join us for a magical tour into a land of animals, featuring selections from Saint-Saens’ Carnival of the Animals! Animals such as the elephant, swan, donkey and an entire aquarium of fish will make you want to move, glide and kick your heels up! While our musicians paint a musical picture, children will be led through movements to match our story full of fun and whimsy.

Young Mozart and Friends
Learn about the life of young Mozart in a mostly true story of one of the greatest composers of all time! Jump back into the 1700s to experience music of young Mozart as well as some other composers living in the same time period. Experience games similar to what Mozart would have played, like Ninepins and Ring Taw, while enjoying musical selections from the era.

Emily and the Ghost Flute
Young Emily begins hearing weird sounds in the old, abandoned house across the street...things that sound to her active imagination like slithery snakes, bats and maybe even a ghost! Her fearless spirit takes her on an investigation, where she discovers a surprise set to music by Mendelssohn, Debussy and more! Come enjoy this wonderful, musical story with original music by Michael Fan, performed by the Mosaic Harp Trio.
