The Southern Arizona Arts & Cultural Alliance strengthens the bonds between people, place and purpose, through collaborative, arts-driven experiences.
OVER 300,000 NEW ARTS EXPERIENCES CREATED
COVID-19 & SAACA
As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to change the landscape of arts audiences and individual artists and organizations, SAACA also continues to re-evaluate our targeted service and program areas. COVID-19 has disproportionally affected communities throughout Southern Arizona, and we will need to respond accordingly. It has become clear to us that our priority needs to develop new opportunities for the arts and artists to thrive in most underserved communities.
To better understand how SAACA can actively diversify our leadership and continue to serve our community more reflectively and equitably through programming, this piece continues to develop and evolve.
As an organization committed to strengthening the bonds between people, place, and purpose through collaborative, arts-driven experiences, we know that our work will be needed more than ever into the future. This work will be rooted in collaboration and finding a shared community vision.
In 2021, SAACA will begin the slow process of a rebuild, reenvision, and recovery. This will start with a new strategic planning cycle that will look different than any other purpose-driven work we have embarked upon in the past. We will continue to look to our community of creatives, makers, artists, and diverse groups of partners for guidance, direction, and inspiration.
