CLASSIC CARS | BLUES MUSIC | TASTY BBQ | FAMILY ACTIVITIES

DUE TO SCHEDULING CONFLICTS,
THIS EVENT WILL NOT BE HELD IN 2025

Picture
Once the Cruise, BBQ & Blues Car Show returns to the Tucson area this winter, the art of the automobile will be on full display! Science meets art at the crux of this festival focused on mechanics and design, highlighting the overlooked art form of custom car craft. Join us to rev up your weekend with live blues music, incredible BBQ from local staples, and family activities.

Over 30 classes of auto awards will be given, including Best of Show, Best Interior, Best Paint, Best Engine, and People's Choice.

Visit this event for an endless supply of everything we have come to love about fast cars and classic automobiles! All monies raised at the event will go directly to support SAACA's community arts and cultural outreach programs throughout Arizona.

SAACA believes that every aspect of an automobile is art, from the headlights and the body of the car, to the seats and dashboard, even each little screw and bolt holding the car together. The event aims to bring the automobile to light as an art form through this spectacular community event.

ENTERTAINMENT & ARTS

2024 main stage performances

The main stage will feature some of the best in homegrown Arizona blues music. With acts ranging from a young band at the beginning of their career, to seasoned players who belong to the AZ Blues Hall of Fame, the festival will be sure to electrify music fans of all kinds. The main stage will feature three bands: Znora, Miss Olivia & The Interlopers, and the Porch Rockers. A salute to our Veterans will kick off the award festivities with "The Star-Spangled Banner", and a presentation of the color guard.
10:00 AM - 11:00 AM
ZNORA

Znora is an award-winning power trio out of the Southern Arizona desert. Founded in 2019 by Adrian Negrete, Znora is an energetic yet soulful band that plays psychedelic blues rock and classic rock covers. Negrete writes the original tunes, sings lead and plays guitar with a mix of varied influences from Chris Stapelton, Santana, Stevie Ray Vaughan and Jimi Hendrix. Joshua Montano brings his fierce drum skills, and Johnathan Rohde fills out the low end on the bass and blends rich harmonies. All three musicians come together to make this guitar-driven trio shine.

Znora recently took first place in Alice Cooper’s Proof is in the Pudding Music and Dance Competition and was also nominated to represent Arizona at the Youth Showcase at the International Blues Challenge in Memphis, Tennessee this coming January. They are raising money for trip through a GoFundMe campaign.

MISS OLIVIA & THE INTERLOPERS

With their debut E.P. 'Tiny Tales', Miss Olivia & The Interlopers showcased a bold sound and a brilliant vision, weaving blues, soul and rock & roll – sounding for all the world like your favorite mixtape from an old friend with a great record collection.

And while the band’s lineup and direction may have evolved in the time since that release, their spirit hasn’t changed a bit. It just keeps getting bigger and better.

Anchored by the creative core of powerhouse vocalist Olivia Reardon and nuanced bassist David Hostetler, this is a band that leads from the heart but never compromises on craft. Drawing from influences ranging all the way from Erykah Badu, Led Zeppelin, The Black Crowes, Jeff Buckley, St. Vincent, Lake Street Dive, Durand Jones and a million bands more, Miss Olivia & The Interlopers is a band whose performances are always unique but never less than their collective best, whether performing in a small space as an intimate trio, or as a full, dynamic eclectic rock ensemble.

The Porch Rockers are a traditional blues band based in Tucson that perform a mix of blues, jump and swing. Members include AZ Blues Hall of Famers Mike Blommer on guitar and Larry Lee Lerma on bass. Steven Michael Jonas is on Harmonica and vocals along with Justin Donaldson on drums. The traditional four piece captures the classic sounds of Chicago and the duets and trios bring you straight down to the Delta.
