ART AND EDUCATIONAL CLASSES
Have some fun and get creative with Art Mixer, a unique Tucson paint and sip experience. Public and private paint events and classes are available with no minimum number of participants. Just pick a project and schedule a date and time to paint. Attendees can choose step-by-step painting projects on canvas, wood board, wood cutouts, wine glasses, wine bottles and paint-and-take ceramics! Quick Bread Cooking Class with Chantilly Tea
Join Tamara, from Chantilly Tea, for a hands-on quick bread cooking class. Each participant will learn a basic quick bread base recipe and then make their own loaves to take home by adding spices, herbs, dried fruit, nuts, and more. Some variations may include Jalapeno Cheddar, Sundried Tomato, Lemon Blueberry, and Chocolate. Sweet or savory, they are tender, moist, and so delicious with butter, soups, stews, and toasted. Quick breads are a fast and delicious way make fresh baked bread with no yeast or kneading required.

MAKING SPACE: A WORKSHOP ON SPACE, SciArt & SOCIETY
Making Space is an in-person multi-day workshop about space, sciart, and making where we use and create data-driven art as a tool to communicate scientific concepts and explore humanity’s relationship to space. Participants will learn about how we use spacecraft observations to explore other worlds, how to access public data from space missions, do collaborative discussion and art activities, and practice creating sciart through hands-on art labs using a variety of mediums. By the end of the workshop, participants will create their own piece of art which they will be invited to showcase at an art exhibition later in the year. The workshop is targeted towards a mixed, adult audience with backgrounds (professional or otherwise) in art and/or science. Artists, makers, scientists, science communicators, and educators are encouraged to apply!

'The Perfect Scone' Cooking Class with Chantilly Tea
Tamara, proprietor of Chantilly Tea, will be conducting a cooking class on the techniques for making the “perfect scone.” Through discussion, demos, and hands-on, you will learn about the traditional “classic cream” scone, as well some of our favorite variations. Each person will create their flavors and take home about a dozen scones to enjoy later with their favorite cup of tea. Please bring an apron.

Kale Creations presented by Plant Based Potential
Do you need more leafy greens in your diet? These recipes will change the way you feel about all things kale. All the tools and ingredients will be provided with a little preparation technique and culinary magic. You'll also go home with folder of recipes, a great experience and a new staple recipe in your house to share with others.

CATALYST is partnering with Tucson Youth Music Center to bring free weekly music lessons for underserved families in the community! Tucson Youth Music Center (TYMC) provides comprehensive weekly free music lessons to teach students how to play a musical instrument as well as, proper technique, repertoire, sight-reading, music theory, ear training, performance, and music appreciation. All necessary materials are provided to qualifying school-age children, pre-K through 12. TYMC music teachers are an extraordinary group of musicians who bring compassion and understanding to the life transforming power of music education.

'YOU WILL BE FOUND' - CHRISTIAN YOUTH THEATER FUNDRAISER AND GALA

Come to CATALYST for a night of Broadway favorites as we showcase the talent that CYT Tucson has to offer. This production will be the main event of our Winter Gala, a night of celebration and appreciation for everything that the arts bring to our lives. The cast will present solos, duets, and various group numbers, encouraging everyone to see the strengths within themselves and use them to lift others up. Attendees will enjoy desserts and a silent auction of fabulous offerings.
All proceeds from this gala will benefit CYT Tucson's programs.
