The CATALYST Arts and Maker Space was established by the Southern Arizona Arts & Cultural Alliance in 2019 to be an inspiring, innovative place where people from all walks of life connect through the shared experience of arts and culture. Located at Tucson Mall, this community space is ideal for gatherings, special events, workshops, art shows, retreats, concerts, and more.
With over 14,000 square feet available, the flexible use rooms are equipped with an array of tables and chairs, WIFI upload speeds of 150+ mbps, four separate bathrooms, handwashing sinks, individual lockers for storing personal belongings, AV technology, and colorful murals and art installations.

Our spacious rooms allow for ample social distancing and are well-equipped for streaming services, online classes, remote and in-person meetings. CATALYST offers classroom space for professional artists, design professionals, engineers, musicians, chefs, and culinary makers to conduct workshops, lectures, or classes. Available rental rates range from hourly maker space rentals for private events and education classes or entire space rent outs.

Above Pricing is for Monday through Friday, 10am - 5pm. Add 10% for Weekday bookings after 5pm, and for Saturday and Sunday bookings from 10am-8pm.
RENT CATALYST AS A CONCERT VENUE, PERFORMANCE SPACE, BUSINESS MEETING, SPECIAL EVENT, OR CLASSROOM USE RENTAL
Available rental rates range from hourly maker space rentals for private events and education classes, or entire space rent outs.
MAIN FLOOR / FULL FACILITY RENTAL
The CATALYST Main Floor is by far the most flexible space in CATALYST featuring a main stage, Audio Visual Technology, Sound System & Stage Lighting, and Projection Capacity. The space can comfortably host up to 120 attendees with classroom, seated event, conference or luncheon styles and other flexible event options. The space is ideal for culinary and marketplace style events, conferences and presentations, large private meetings, social gatherings and showcase events. Outside food and beverage is permitted. Catering referrals can be made from SAACA's list of participating chefs.
ATTENDANCE CAPACITY: 250 People
The flexible community room space is built out with large screen smart TV, digital projection and meeting capacities and convenings for up to 40 people.

Includes Use of Tables, chairs, 42" monitor, conference call system, high-speed internet, desired room configuration and dedicated staff.
CULINARY TEACHING KITCHEN
Chefs, educators and culinary technicians can use this space to teach classes based in developing traditional and contemporary culinary knowledge and skills. The room is equipped with tables, stools, prep counters, refrigerator, freezer, a convection oven, a commercial dishwasher, plates, cutlery, pots and pans.
ATTENDANCE CAPACITY: 20 People
Includes use of stainless steel tables, stools, convection oven and dishwasher, 36" digital monitor and high speed internet.
MUSIC & DIGITAL ARTS LAB
Musicians, photographers, multimedia and digital artists, and educators can use this space to teach lessons and classes in sound mixing, podcasting, video, photography, and more. The room is equipped with tables, chairs, mixing station, and sound booths. Use of recording equipment requires supervised use or approved engineer.
ATTENDANCE CAPACITY: 40 People

ARTS & CRAFTS STUDIO
Painters, potters, jewelers, weavers, glass artists, and general DIYers can teach classes in any medium, mixed-media, and interdisciplinary arts and crafts. The room is equipped with tables, chairs, easels, paper for covering tables, basic supplies and materials.

Includes Use of Tables, chairs, 42" monitor, large art tables, high-speed internet. desired room configuration, three compartment handwashing sink, and dedicated staff.

We all outside food and beverage catering, or can make referrals to our list of preferred caterers to select a meal that will be sure to wow your guests, meet your needs and fit into your budget. Anything is possible!

$10-15 per person- continental breakfast and coffee
$15-17 per person- hot individual breakfast and coffee
$9-16 per person- individual artisan box lunches, sandwiches and salads, fruit or chips and cookie
$15-25 per person- hor d’oeurves action stations
$25-55 per person- plated meal service/buffet
Plus sales tax and gratuity (18%)
Set-up fee $75, includes table, linen, ice, and serving bins filled with chilled product
Hosted bar $100 per hour
$4 per person- local beer
$8 per person- local wine
Cleaning fee - $100 for catered events over 20 people.
Linens Fee - if CATALYST provides black table linens, there is a $50 laundry fee for events using up to 10 tables. $100 for Large Events using 10+ tables

Music Recording Packages
Each square foot of this space has been designed with flexibility, adaptability and accessibility in mind. With over 20 signature mural installations to awaken the space, projection and interactive arts capacities, performance, gathering and production spaces, it will be an ever evolving, and ever changing space- always inciting discovery, lifelong learning and experimentation in creativity within our community.
