Storytelling: An Artists Bio Writing Session
An artist, chef or musicians statement is never finished for long. Like your resume, it will be revised frequently, as your work changes and as you find new ways of expressing what you are doing. So get good at writing them! In this session you will be taught how to constantly be updating your artist, band or personal bio so that you can convey relevant, and readable content online and in writing.
Making & Marketing Art
This session inspires attendees to discover what happens when creativity meets technology, and the endless opportunities for artists and professionals to grow their audiences and create the unexpected through utilizing various forms of marketing technologies (Website, Social Platforms, Artist Groups, Online LIstings, YouTube, Etsy, and other online technologies).

A single post says a thousand words! In an age where you can gain a new customer, and new follower or "Like" online, the photos and video content we post about our art and creations goes a long way. In this session, learn some tips and techniques on how you can begin to start taking better pictures and live video content that you can post yourself, which will help you engage new audiences and followers on multiple platforms.

State of the Arts in Arizona
Advocating for Funding and Becoming an Advocate for the Arts in Arizona. Attendees in this session will learn more about how Arts funding in Arizona works, and how it compares to other funding mechanisms in other States. Learn about how you can be an active voice for creative change in your community and leave the session with 3 ways in which you can support local arts movements, through collaboration and communication.
Luncheon Sampling Showcase Networking Event & Keynote Speech from 1PM-2:15PM / Attendees will receive color coded name tags when they arrive at the event. At the networking hour, you will be recommended to meet other people with the same color code name tag, and learn more about each other, and begin the conversation on how you might collaborate on one project, or opportunity. Sampling foods from local chefs and food purveyors, as well as live music and arts experiences during this session will keep this experience full of inspiration.
Southern Arizona Creative Industries Survey
Throughout 2018, the Southern Arizona Arts & Cultural Alliance completed one of the most comprehensive creative, maker and artist survey to date. The survey engaged over 600 creatives in Southern Arizona. You will be given the first look at the survey results in this session, which will be paired with an ending Q&A session with arts and community leaders, on how we begin to take action on what we have learned from our creative industries survey.

Arts & Community Partnerships Across the Military Continuum. In this session, hear from Veterans, Teachers and Active Duty Military Leaders, on how the arts are making a large impact in the lives of military service members in Southern Arizona. Learn about innovative writing programs, performance opportunities, and engagement sessions, and have an opportunity to engage with those who are working each day in this field.

Teambuilding through the Arts
In this interactive session, participants will be broken up into small groups and participate in an interactive arts-based teambuilding session. Participants will learn firsthand ways in which the facilitation of creative projects, can help build innovative teams, with creative problem-solving tools to gain, and more diverse conversations to be had in the workplace.
ROOM #4 CREATIVE PLACEMAKING
From rural main streets to urban cultural districts, local artists can enrich and expand an authentic identity and brand of a “place” while helping to engage customers and members of the community. Local artists can bring new energy around challenges such as vacant storefronts and changing demographics, plus they can create projects that attract people. In this session, you will learn how to structure and launch an artist-driven creative placemaking project. The session will introduce you to a foundational activity, highlight local case studies from business districts, touch on finding artists, and brainstorming new funding options.
Cultural Exchange: Diversity, Equity & the Arts
Tucson, AZ a UNESCO Creative City of Gastronomy
In this session, attendees will learn more about the UNESCO program, how Tucson came to receive this International honor, and how businesses, chefs, purveyors and artists can begin to collaborate to highlight, uplift and tell our communities unique gastronomy story to the rest of the world.
The Maker Movement in Southern Arizona
In this session, you will learn more about how the Maker Movement is touching on the future of education, and helping to guild the future creative class. What is the Maker Movement? How do I get involved in the movement?

Nothing looks better to community leaders than organizations and creatives that can effectively partner with other organizations. And, nothing is more effective at growing audiences and support for the arts than collaborating with partners who draw new people into your sphere. This afternoon keynote session will explore different ways to collaborate with other artists, art forms, art organizations, businesses and diverse sectors as a way of giving our community the boost it needs, to become a support creative city. Creating a shared vision for our community - one in which we all have a stake, buy in, and investment.
