Southern Arizona’s Largest Car Show Has Something for Everyone as It Showcases the Finest Classic, Collector, and Vintage Automobiles this April (TUCSON, Ariz) – After a cancellation due to rain in February, Oro Valley’s largest car show has been rescheduled for Saturday, April 1st at the Oro Valley Marketplace. Join us for the 9th Annual Cruise, BBQ & Blues Car Show to enjoy a fantastic display of classic, custom and muscle cars, as well as kids activities, community exhibitors, and food vendors as the event raises money to support Southern Arizona Arts and Cultural Alliances Veterans Art Therapy programming.
The show will feature up to 135 cars and trucks in a variety of styles – antique and modern, domestic and foreign, modified and custom. A panel of expert Judges will award trophies in categories including Best of Show, Best Interior, Best Paint, Best Engine, Best Presentation and attendees can vote for their favorite vehicles in the People’s Choice awards. Each year the Cruise, BBQ and Blues Car Show rolls into Oro Valley, attracting thousands of people and bringing the community together, and each year the show presents more and more reasons to attend. In addition to the motoring nostalgia, community display booths, vendors selling mouthwatering BBQ, and activities for the kids including face painting and jumping castles making the event highly entertaining for the whole family. “It is important that we feature amazing cars and the craftsman that maintain, restore and enhance performance and call attention to the true art form that it is, but to also bring together the community of individuals and organizations that enhance the classic car experience,” said Jonas Hunter, Special Events Director at SAACA. “This classic car show will bring all of these elements together and allow both car enthusiasts and novices alike to enjoy these works of art.” Headlining the event are two local blues bands; Bryan Dean Trio and The Coolers binging the soulful atmosphere. The Cruise, BBQ & Blues Car Show will run from 10am to 3pm on Saturday, April 1, 2017. Tickets will be sold at the door, adult admission is $5, while veterans and active duty military is $4, and children under 10 are free. Proceeds from the event go to benefit Creative Arts Therapy programs at the Southern Arizona Veterans Administration.
