Southern Arizona Arts & Cultural Alliance collaborates with Roche Tissue Diagnostics, known locally Ventana Medical Systems, Inc. (Ventana) to present a body of work spanning 30 years.

This Tucson artist, best known for his found-object sculptural figures, explores the relationship of environment and place and the connection between energy, memory, and time. Pieces in the collection are created with the intention is to create a familiar place where recognition evolves. The most consistent element throughout Adix's work is the salvation and reuse of materials
The exhibition will feature 167 unique pieces spanning 30 years, from imposing, welded-steel sculptures to delicate collage created from recycled materials. The show includes work from public and private collections, as well as new work, available for sale.
"By working in collage and mixed media materials, vintage and hand-crafted paper, I am able to communicate these places more accurately and find the essence and perhaps a memory," says Adix about his work.
The artwork will be showcased and sold at the Ventana Gallery, and the public is welcome to browse or buy during the length of the exhibit, continuing through July 11, 2017.
The Ventana Gallery is open to the public, by appointment, Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and on the first and third Saturday of each month from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. To schedule an appointment, visitors should call the SAACA at (520) 797-3959. Advance notice of 48 hours is required.
